Executive
Numbers tell a story. The right leader knows how to turn that story into opportunity.

At Lion Holdings, we're looking for a Director of Strategic Finance who sees beyond financial statements and identifies opportunities others may overlook. We need a commercially minded strategist who understands how businesses generate revenue, what drives profitability, and where the next opportunity for growth may exist.

This is not simply a budgeting, forecasting, or reporting role. It's an opportunity to directly influence the financial direction of a growing organization with multiple operating businesses.

The successful candidate will bring an investigative mindset, strong financial acumen, and the executive presence to influence decisions, and turn financial insights into measurable business results. From identifying new revenue streams and optimizing existing business models to evaluating mergers and acquisitions, this leader will play a critical role in shaping our next phase of growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth & Optimization: Identify, evaluate, and recommend opportunities to create new revenue streams, increase monetization, expand margins, and maximize the financial potential of existing business operations.
  • Financial & Operational Performance: Investigate the relationships between financial results and operational performance. Analyze revenue drivers, cost structures, customer economics, productivity, and profitability to identify opportunities for measurable improvement.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Support the identification, financial evaluation, due diligence, and execution of potential acquisitions, strategic investments, and partnerships. Develop valuation models, assess synergies, quantify risks, and evaluate opportunities for long-term value creation.
  • Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial investigations across business units, challenge underlying assumptions, uncover performance gaps, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that accelerate revenue and profitability.
  • Business Model Evaluation: Assess existing and emerging business models, revenue structures, pricing strategies, and growth initiatives. Develop financial scenarios and business cases that inform investment decisions and commercial strategy.
  • Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Build sophisticated financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses that evaluate growth initiatives, capital allocation, investments, and potential acquisitions. Quantify expected returns and financial exposure.
  • Executive Partnership and Influence: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadership. Present compelling, evidence-based recommendations, challenge assumptions constructively, and influence decisions through financial intelligence and sound business judgment.
  • Opportunity Assessment and Execution: Partner with business leaders to investigate underperforming areas, evaluate new opportunities, develop improvement recommendations, and measure the financial impact of implemented initiatives.
  • Financial Planning and Performance Management: Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis while ensuring financial resources and investments support the organization's growth priorities.
  • Investment and Risk Analysis: Evaluate the financial viability of strategic initiatives, capital investments, and expansion opportunities. Balance growth potential against financial risk, liquidity, and expected returns.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leaders across finance, sales, marketing, technology, media, and operations to understand business economics and identify opportunities that improve revenue generation and enterprise value.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required. MBA, CFA, or other advanced credentials preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, strategic finance, investment analysis, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and developing new revenue opportunities, optimizing existing revenue streams, and improving business profitability.
  • Direct experience with mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence, valuation, transaction analysis, and acquisition modeling.
  • Proven ability to connect financial metrics with operational performance indicators and translate complex data into practical business recommendations.
  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including discounted cash flow analysis, scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, investment returns, and valuation methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of revenue economics, pricing strategies, contribution margins, EBITDA, cash flow, capital allocation, and return on investment.
  • Exceptional analytical and investigative skills with the intellectual curiosity to ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions, and uncover opportunities.
  • Executive presence with the confidence, credibility, and communication skills to engage senior leadership, defend recommendations, and influence strategic decisions.
  • Strong commercial instincts and business acumen, with the ability to evaluate opportunities through both financial and operational perspectives.
  • Experience working with multiple business units, diverse revenue models, or rapidly growing organizations preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, business intelligence platforms, financial modeling tools, and advanced Excel.
  • Ability to operate independently, prioritize high-value opportunities, and deliver recommendations in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is measured by more than the accuracy of a forecast or the quality of a financial report. It's measured by the opportunities you uncover, the decisions you influence, and the financial value you help create.

You'll be expected to:
  • Identify and validate new revenue streams with meaningful growth potential.
  • Improve profitability by uncovering opportunities within existing business models.
  • Provide financial intelligence that enables better commercial and investment decisions.
  • Evaluate acquisition opportunities and help leadership understand their financial and strategic value.
  • Build credibility with executive leadership through thoughtful analysis, decisive recommendations, and measurable results.

We're looking for someone who doesn't just explain what the numbers mean. We're looking for someone who can determine what we should do next.

Compensation: Salary + Performance-Based Bonus, Comprehensive Benefits Package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
