The UI Designer builds the front-end, user-facing elements of web and mobile applications, turning design wireframes into functional, responsive code. He/She focuses on visual aesthetics, usability, and interactivity, collaborating with UX designers to ensure seamless user experiences across devices.
Job Responsibilities
- Front-End Development: Translating UI/UX design wireframes and mockups
- Responsive Design: Ensuring web applications are responsive, functional, and visually consistent across various browsers, platforms, and screen sizes
- Collaboration: Working closely with UX designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to implement visual elements and user interface components
- Prototyping: Building interactive prototypes to showcase functionality and gather feedback
- Optimization: Optimizing applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance
- Maintenance: Creating, updating, and maintaining UI design documentation
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of work experience with a focus on product design and UI across a variety of platforms like iOS, Android, web, and others
- Experience in shipping digital products from start to finish including the documentation and development process
- Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through prototypes, sketches, high-fidelity comps, and presentations. Highly skilled and fast in any tools you need to visualize your ideas and deliver the work
- Enthusiasm and history working in an Agile design process, motivated by design critique.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to present work to large groups and executives
- Highly proficient in Figma for low-fidelity wireframes through pixel-perfect high-fidelity designs
- Knowledgeable in photoshop and AI design tools
- Knowledgeable in the elements, principles of UI design such as color theory
This is a contract role (1099). Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills.
