Valuetainment is a premier media company known for its innovative approach to business education and entertainment. As part of our commitment to providing unique and exclusive experiences, we established a private members-only cigar lounge called, “The Boardroom”.
The General Manager of the Boardroom oversees operations and plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional and exclusive experience to our members. His/Her expertise in cigars, combined with a sales acumen, will ensure our cigar lounge becomes a sought-after destination for both business networking and relaxation.
Job Responsibilities
Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the cigar lounge, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all members and guests
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment in line with Valuetainment's standards
- Manage inventory, restocking, and ordering of cigars, beverages, and other lounge amenities
- Collaborate with the Valuetainment team to coordinate lounge events, tastings, and promotions
Member Experience:
- Greet and interact with members and guests, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie
- Provide expert knowledge and recommendations on cigar selection, pairings, and tobacco-related products
- Ensure high-quality service standards are met, and resolve any member concerns or issues promptly
Sales and Business Development:
- Drive sales by promoting memberships, cigar sales, and lounge experiences to both existing and potential members
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and meet performance targets
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships to enhance the lounge's visibility and reputation
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of lounge staff, ensuring a professional and customer-focused atmosphere
- Provide ongoing training and development to staff members, enhancing their product knowledge and customer service skills
- Monitor staff performance, conduct regular evaluations, and address any performance-related issues
Job Qualifications
- Must possess cigar expertise including an in-depth knowledge of cigars, tobacco products, and cigar culture
- 4+ years of sales experience with a proven track record in sales and business development, preferably in luxury or hospitality settings
- 3+ years of previous experience managing a high-end lounge, bar, or hospitality establishment (e.g., cigar lounge, speakeasy, membership club, or luxury hotel)
- Must possess strong leadership and influencing skills
- Must be customer-centric with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and responsibilities effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
- Must be proficient in building and nurturing professional relationships
Compensation: Salary + Performance-Based Bonus, Comprehensive Benefits Package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
