The Sponsorship Account Manager cultivates and maintains relationships with corporate sponsors, managing the entire sponsorship lifecycle from post-sale onboarding through fulfillment and reporting. Key duties include onboarding sponsors, identifying their business requirements, developing proposals and custom activation plans, overseeing event activation, managing budget and revenue, and ensuring sponsor satisfaction to drive renewals and new business.
Job Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with sponsors, acting as the primary point of contact to address their needs and explore new opportunities
Strategy & Activation: Develop and implement activation strategies for each sponsorship agreement, ensuring that sponsors' obligations and benefits are met through creative programs and on-site delivery
Project Management: Oversee multiple deliverables and project timelines, working closely with various internal departments (e.g., marketing, events, finance) to ensure seamless execution of sponsorship programs
Financial Management: Manage sponsorship revenue, track expenses, and oversee budget adherence, ensuring financial objectives are met
Reporting & Analysis: Track key performance metrics, analyze campaign data, and provide regular reports to management and sponsors, offering insights and recommendations for improvement
Job Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a relevant industry (e.g., conferences, sports, events, music)
Must have a strong service ethic, regularly demonstrating unreasonable hospitality
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills to interact effectively with high-level corporate decision-makers
Must have demonstrated collaboration skills, and be able to partner effectively across multiple functions; must be able to lead through influence and persuasion, not direct control
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Must have strong business understanding and experience in managing budgets and revenue
Compensation: Salary + Commission, Performance-Based Bonus, Comprehensive Benefits Package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
